The Trace Metal Biogeochemistry lab is looking to accept a new MS or PhD student to work on changes in forest soil trace metal concentrations spatially (across New England) and through time (40 years of archived samples).
The goals are to access changes in trace metal pollution from humans and separate signals from geologic controls.
The project will entail a combination of trace metal ratios and isotopic ratios.
The position will start in Summer of 2023 and will be funded through Research and Teaching Assistantships and coursework will be completed predominantly in the Department of Geosciences and partly in the Stockbridge School of Agriculture.
