We are very excited to have Alexandrea (Alex) Rice join the trace metal biogeochemistry research group! In addition to her contagious positive attitude, Alex brings a lot of traditional forestry and soil science skill sets. Alex is happy to be back on the east coast after a stint in the deserts of Nevada.
Alex will be working on our USDA-NIFA funded project investigating where do trees get their inorganic nutrients during regeneration. More specifically, can we apply stable isotope signatures to tease apart internal cycling and mineral weathering and their contribution to forest mineral nutrition.
Cheers to joining the group and a productive ’21 Summer!
