Alex Rice publishes and presents her work

Alex Rice successfully published her first chapter for her Dissertation in the journal Geoderma.

“Influence of parent material mineralogy on forest soil nutrient release rates across a nutrient richness gradient”

As part of every UVA Environmental Science PhD, the student must present their work to the department. Alex presented her dissertation work to the department on Halloween 2024. 

The graduate students came out in nearly full attendance in support and the faculty had some great questions and ideas. All in all, it was a happy and not spooky event.
