In the Pioneer Valley, we are very lucky to have an extremely active and friendly network of geoscientists working at Amherst College, Hampshire College, Mt. Holyoke College, Smith College, and of course University of Massachusetts Amherst. Every year, we celebrate the accomplishments of our students with the Five College Geology Symposium. It is a chance to show case their hard work and learn about a very diverse array of research, from hard rock mineral assemblages to the feeding of trees from mineral dissolution.
Eliza Fitzgerald, Rudy Marek, and Brendan Braithwaite presented their work to a great group of students, staff, postdocs, and faculty from across the five colleges.
We are very indebted to our gracious hosts at Amherst College!
